ISES Cleveland Announces Upcoming Year’s Schedule of Education and Programs
Cleveland, Ohio, July 6, 2011: The Cleveland Chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES Cleveland), Cleveland’s premier society for event professionals, announced its upcoming year’s calendar of events following the first Education and Programs Committee meeting of the new membership year on July 5, 2011.
“We are looking forward to another great year with the ISES Cleveland chapter,” said ISES Cleveland Vice President of Education and Programs, Rachael Fuller of the Cleveland Zoological Society. ”Don’t miss these exciting and engaging programs to interact with ISES members and Cleveland’s finest.”
The chapter will host a total of six Educational Programs, as well as four networking events, and a mid-year Membership Drive. The calendar stands as follows:

Anna-Jeannine Herman, Creative Director and Talent Manager for Something New Entertainment (and sub-brand Atomic Entertainment), has over 10 years experience in the theatre and design industries, both on- and off-stage, as an actor, an acting and vocal coach, a wardrobe technician, a stitcher, a draper, a costume/hair/makeup designer, a teacher, a graphic artist and branding strategist, a vocalist, and a brass player (mainly horn and trumpet). Anna-Jeannine is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee is frequently found complaining about the necessity of socks here in Northeast Ohio.
After Bachelor’s studies in Theatre, Design, and Communication, Anna-Jeannine completed graduate work in Costume Design, where she met future husband and business partner, Justin Herman, a lighting and sound technician and designer with a small DJ company called Atomic Entertainment.
In addition to her administrative and artistic work for Something New Entertainment, Anna-Jeannine remains active in the field and in the community as a DJ/MC and lighting designer and in volunteer efforts for a number of causes close to her heart, including AIDS and Breast Cancer awareness and research, the arts, and the fair and equitable treatment of all people through including organizations as the Northern Ohio Breast Cancer Coalition Fund (NOBCCF), the Humility of Mary Life Opportunity Services (H.M. Life), the Community AIDS Network and Akron Pride Initiative (CANAPI). She also maintains the ISES Cleveland blog and help manage social media presence as part of the Communications Committee.
Anna-Jeannine enjoys cooking, entertaining, writing, singing, blogging, getting dressed up and having her photograph taken, making crafts out of unlikely materials, talking about other people’s weddings and she is well-known for of her chronic Facebook addiction. She can keep a secret, loves pink, is a natural redhead, and can guarantee that you will win fair and square if you challenge her to a game of bowling or golf.
Anna-Jeannine lives in Akron with her husband, Justin, and two tiny beagles, Prince Rusticus “Rusty” McFreckleson, and Princess Tigerlily “Lily” McFreckleson. 2010Now through Thanksgiving, The Special Event (TSE) is offering a 10% discount to all International Special Event Society (ISES) members on all new registrations to the Special Event in Phoenix, Arizona January 25-28, 2011.
In addition, the SEARCH Foundation has teamed up with TSE in order to provide each ISES chapter (including the ISES Cleveland Chapter) the opportunity to submit a single scholarship application for the Full Education Package registration at this year’s TSE conference.
A total of twenty-one scholarships will be awarded by the SEARCH Foundation. After a candidate is selected by their home chapter, their application will be forwarded to SEARCH for approval, as well. Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and should be submitted as soon as possible. The final deadline for application submission is Thanksgiving (November 24, 2010).
Though this scholarship does not include airfare, lodging, social events, etc., it does include a full access pass, including free entrance to the TSE exhibit hall, networking opportunities, and your choice of over 100 educational sessions covering the tips, tricks, and trends of 8 different industry tracks.
